Group Inclusion Class for children (fully booked)

This group will meet weekly for 2-3 hours per class. 

This group is open to all children aged 11-17. It is an interest-based group, where your child’s interests are used as the foundation to facilitate connection with other children.

Each week, topics will be chosen based on participant interest. Children will be able to learn skills of their choosing,  from the following options:

• Research skills (how to access more information and resources about their personal interests)
• Networking skills (how to develop connections with individuals and communities who share similar interests and vocational goals, and can connect them with opportunities!)
• Self-directed learning (how to teach themselves a skill that is needed in order to achieve  desired goal, e.g. for personal projects or for vocational goals). 

The focus of the group is to create an environment where children feel seen for who they are, safe to be themselves, and able to build meaningful connections with others.

Along the way, these are some other skills that you can expect to see emerging or developing:

• Conflict resolution skills
• Perspective taking
• Collaborating with others on shared goals
• Self advocacy/assertiveness skills
• Enhanced responsibility towards self, others, and the environment 
• Enhanced safety skills

The cost for this session is $100 per hour. Medicaid coverage may be available for this service.
